Vacumn pipe missing

Post by redders »

Hi
I have a 1981 Aircooled 2Ltr CU, could some one tell me why the vacumn pipe between the 2 butterfly valves on the drivers side carb has been blanked off.
I have just rebuilt the carbs and wandering why somebody would have done this to just 1 of the carbs and not the other.

Andy

Assuming you have a RHD van and you're talking about the right-hand carb, don't worry. Only the left-hand should have a vacuum hose connected to the dizzy.
