took a plug out alfter it was standing all nite and was cold . and it was wet .the plug that is . :?
is that the norm ore have i got a problem .i have just had a service so plugs are new .can some one help :idea: :?:

I'm interested to know why you would think triple electrode plugs would be better for an ageing bus....
Essentially these plugs were introduced to satisfy the criteria for longer life and extended service intervals that manufacturers were introducing in the early 90's.
I have my own thoughts.....these plugs are pre-gapped and non adjustable, they are designed for modern high voltage ignition systems that have the ability to feed the large gaps that these plugs have with plenty of KV. I'm pretty sure an old contact breaker setup wouldn't be an ideal partner for this type of plug.
As for later first generation electronic ignition systems (84 onwards) which were more powerful.... I'm still not sure wether these are ideal...but hey!
After all, the original single electrode spark plugs commonly had a much smaller gap of around 0.7mm (modern vehicles use spark plugs with gaps of well over 1mm)

I have to go with "Red Westie"

Unless your HT leads/coil are in good nick, you will not get the best benefit out of the Plugs.

I had some Splitfires in my old mini years ago and it made no difference to MPG or performance.
