Engine stalls on start! auto

I have a 1989 auto 1.9DG.

today it stalled on me after running for 1min. I went to restart

It started and stalled immediatly, even when giving it gas in park.

it continued to do this and would not start

Any ideas why?

Gas= LPG?

this can be caused if the connector to the airflow sensor (on the air filter comes off )

Hi T,

It's petrol. I've checked all the connectors/hoses, everything seems fine.

Gonna take the a look at the choke today, it's always seemed a little dodgy so gonna check that out.

or

It could just simply be that i ran out of petrol, but that would mean its only done 70 miles on half a tank!!!
