Ahhh bugger. I'm unable to attend that weekend.
Will have to be the annual Summer event then for me.

Ok, so we've got 24th/25th/26th of April at somewhere near Banbury. Great!
Hey, hold on though Harry, are you really expecting us to circumnavigate Banbury in a sort of hunt for the venue? If so, I think you must give us minions a little more time, say . . . . April 2010?
Eric.

When people book they get full details incl. directions, you don't just turn up

What no details atall? As like is it a 1,2 or 3 day event? Or is it a one site event Or is it a trail? Is it a van crunching lane or a open mud pit? Im not booking till i know if its worth a 8hr drive

Re: When is the next Syncro event?
Doug will hopefully be along soon with a brief description of the site and what we expect to be doing, I haven't seen it yet...
We are not recceeeing Green Lanes for the Monday until late this month, in fact there aren't many in this area that are open, so its either a 90 mile drive to Herts/Essex border or possibly south to a gentle cruise around sightseeing & publunching near the Ridgeway, with maybe a couple that are driveable.
We don't generally book 'damaging' or very challenging sites for Syncro events, but of course, with a range of vehicles from heavy Syncro Campers to some single & doublecabbers prepared to have a go at anything, it's always a challenge finding a site that suits everyone... The degree of challenge (or danger) tends to be up to the drivers themselves and what and how they tackle things.
This is the only link I can find at the mo' to the site... take a look, it's no Lanfyllin of course, but then it's not a Syncropendence.

Re: When is the next Syncro event?
Just realised, Doug's off-line for a day or two at the moment, but he's seen the site...
Spring event is generally where we meet up again after the winter, welcome new Syncronauts, do a bit of induction, and sometimes have a trial or two (through the sticks)
The site last year at Whaddon was a gamble, and this years will be too I feel...
I agree its a long way to come from Scotland, for a small off-road site (compared to Wales)...

This sounds good, especally if Nr. Banbury turns out to be more like Stratford-Upon-Avon sort of direction. Date added to the wall!

A brief description of the site:
Wagtail 4X4 P&P site, near Shipston on Stour, is basically a 250 acre farm with three distinct 'off-road' areas which are compact, probably a few acres in area, joined by farm tracks.
The terrain is pleasantly undulating but with no long or steep inclines.
Wild camping is OK with two options one of which is besides the River Stour - campfires permissible
A few club reports:

http://www.suzuki-storm.co.uk/past/2003 ... /index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Plans are afoot to offer a laning excursion, there is also the Heritage Motor Centre close by at Gaydon.

That's all for now.....

Funnily enough Paddy, I was thinking about the same thing only yesterday and even checked the thread to see if there was any further news.
