painting pop-top canvas?

Post by rainman »

Anybody know of any product I could use to paint onto my pop-top canvas? This sounds stupid to me even as I'm writing it but you never know til you ask. My van is brown and cream (mmm, lovely I hear you say) but the JK canvas is a sort of dirty dish-rag grey. I'd like the sort of orange that they made tents from in the 80s - any suggestions? Any sensible suggestions, I mean.

Yes I came across the 'paint-your-tent' thing when I googled and also some stuff about sealed knot types painting heraldic malarky on their marquees so it suggests it can be done.
I do have the JK canvas on, only put it on a couple of years ago so don't want to replace it yet.
TBH, tackling rust has become a major project so niceties like colour of canvas have slipped down the list of priorities.
