today ive been rubbing down the panels on the van ,the previous owner rolled on hammerite (thats what he told me anyway) and never flatted it back ,so now its been on a while its gone dull ,but the texture holds in the muck and makes it look terrible,so ive been rubbing away at it.
got it nice and smooth and went and bought a can of undercoat..that cellulose/acrylic stuff.sprayed it on and loads of crazing appeared

now it looks to me like its doing it where ive rubbed through the 'hammerite' and got down to the original but i could be wrong...its not a solid area it doing it ..it seems to be around the edges of the hammerite where it turns into the original paint...i think.
am i using the wrong primer or do i need to use some of that barcoat stuff ?
cheers..dave
