Hi folks,
Can anyone help? Not technical minded but learning fast...
Occassionally when I go over bumbs or turn round tight bends, I hear a single bang or clank under the van.
It seems to be coming under the drivers seat or at least on the drivers side.
I have looked underneath and cannot find anything loose.
On straight roads it is fine, running smoothly. Even if I go over a speed bump slowly, no noise.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Chris

Check shock absorber mountings closely or even anti roll bar and its mountings.

Re: Banging noise under van
Sounds silly, but also check for cans rolling around in cupboards or the fridge. Sounds like a thump from under the van when they hit the sides.............

Re: Banging noise under van
upper especially or lower ball joint worn ?
check boots for integrity , often split no grease you can sure that's worn, if not obvious then you need the vehicle in the air and big pry bar to test for play it's a mot check obviously so if not recent mot then could be fault, also broken antiroll link rod swinging around loose can be problem sometimes
