Final Drive Filler Plug Size

Post by Dubstar »

Anybody got an idea how big the filler plug is on an auto gearbox final drive please? I want to check the level but I don't want to buy a selection of tools from Halfords if I can help it, just the right one for the job as I haven't got an allen key big enough.

Or try using an M12 bolt and several nuts on it, lock up the nuts and then insert the (17mm) head into the cleaned out bung and unscrew using a 17mm spanner.
