Anyone come across this type of fiamma bike rack?? It hasnt got the slots under the rails that take the black plastic straps that secure the wheels??
I spoke to Fiamma and they say they dont know of this type!! Its got there logo on it!!

Its the earlier version. Those two slots in rail is for the red fabric securing straps that secure the wheels. Were available fairly recently from fiamma.

I don't really like them. We hit a big speed hump in Spain and it was left hanging on by one hook.

Ah I see.
I have just looked on Fiamma's site and they still sell the red straps though Im guessing any securing strap should do the trick??

Not that fast. That was when i had a VW engine. No bolts snapped it bent!

i dont mess about with the little straps, i have a ratchett strap that goes right round, the wheels just sit in the tracks.....

I have the same type, I bought longer straps cheap from a sunday market and cut them down
then use a ratchet strap on each bike around the frame
