Help needed in Bognor!!

Post by festivalgirl73 »

HI,
Anyone able to tell me if there is anywhere I can go to get help fitting a fridge and cooker to my van in Bognor Regis or the surrounding area?? I need advice on where to go or I need to find a handy person who knows what they are doing who might like to give me a hand for a few quid?? (But soon as poss!)
I bought this van, he said the fridge would be fitted but surprise surprise he hasnt had time and is sending it down not fitted, (alos promised it had a microwave but that isnt in it either!!)it also has no cooker or oven which I am going to buy but again am useless and have no idea how to get it fitted myself, Oh Jeez he promised me rear seatbelts would be fitted too but I am beginning to think it will arrive tomorrow without them too!!
HELP!!

Is this the Autohomes you posted a picture of? It looked like it had the fridge and cooker in already. If it doesn't, and you've agreed to buy something that has, then that's not on. Have you already parted with the money?

I don't need a microwave its just the principal of the thing!! He said there would be one in it and now there probably isn't going to be. yes please Kate, I do still want the cooker and oven but won't be able to double check if they will fit as the bugger didn't get it transported down today as promised, apparently it will be next week now! Things are not going well! He is insistent that he just wants to make sure its perfect for me and said a couple of the window seal rubbers needed to be fitted and hadn't been.
Funny how last night at 10pm he told me it was going to be on the transporter at 9am this morning, then rings today and says 'Oh actually it will be next week!'
I'm not best pleased as you can imagine.

#2 No, its not the autohomes, I think you may be confusing me with travelling chick. :D

I knew mine didn't have many camping basics but was told there was a fridge and it would be fitted but then he said he would just put the fridge in the van and I would have to get it fitted myself. Perhaps now its not going to be until next week he can fit it for me! I had a quote from Sidlesham caravans to fit the fridge and they said £180+VAT! I was a bit shocked at that I must say!

Trying to be positive, I need a beer!!

I'd push back on this guy tbh. He's reneging all over the place.

How much dosh have you given him?

Start laying down the law a bit. Accept it'll be next week but tell him you want the fridge and rear belts and window rubbers fitted and in good order.

Good luck.
