If the hole is too big (too wide of a hole) may I ask are you trying to fit a RHD window to a LHD T3?
Do you realize that after 1984 the sliding window sizes differ than the earlier matching set? That may be the difference.

Re: Louvred kitchen window.....Help!
The window was going in a 1980 RHD Devon. It is nightmare trying to find a window that fits, so many different sizes. Its not even a panel van conversion. Doing my head in, all I want is a side window that I can open!
Mmm what's that strange smell from my exhaust...

Re: Louvred kitchen window.....Help!
Well I finally got me a opening kitchen window, not a louvred but a slider. Picked it up at dubfreeze on Sunday off NW-VW, a top bloke and he even took the too small louvred window off me
Fitted it ok tonight with no problems. Its even out of a Devon so is right of the van. Well happy
