vw autohome 2ltr air cooled T25 1981
can anybody explain the procedure of replacing our bush rod tubes ? our mechanic would love some help with the technical details. Daisy murtle is our first van & we are loving the learning curve !

for replacement telescopic tubes.
remove tappet ass.
remove pushrods
remove tubes.
remember you will need new seals for the tubes

telescopics not needed on ac engines as the tube withdraws thru the head.
remove the rocker gear noting how the wire clip is installed. remove the pushrods (keep em in order)
pull the tubes out (may need a twist)
renew seals and refit
put the rest back in .

oh and seals are two different sizes. one big one small and they cost pence from gsf
