I need to repalce the breather hose on my van and the only one I can source on-line is £35+ which is down right criminal. Volkspares are sposed to do them for £5-10 but can't find any ontheir website (haven't called them yet as I'm in my office "working"). Does anyone know of a cheaper supplier?
While I'm on here, I seem to be loosing clutch/ break fluid from under the gearbox/ engine area at the rear of the van. I haven't had a look underneath as yet, but it only happens when the vans been on a 1/2 decent run. taking it in for a service this week and will get it checked out, but any general idea's as to what could be wrong or likely problems?
Cheer, enjoy the fairer weather...

Re: Oli Breather Hose & break/ clutch
i used some flexible conduit ducting to replace my oil tower breather, i wasnt paying £35 for a bit of rubber that will go soft and end up like the original one.... just grafter some correct size new rubber pipe on the ends of the flexi-conduit and jobes a goodun.
you could also put a spring up the middle of your old one if its just gone soft and kinked, worked for me untill i split the rubber by accident and had to replace it all
as for the fluid, my money is on the clutch slave, its will be hiding it in the rubber boot and dumping it when full, mind your eyes!

You've been reading this months issue of VolksWorld Camper and Bus as well then - I mentioned this last week. A fivers fix (if you work for a camper mag in Croydon)

Got mine from GSF as cheaper then the brick one mentioned (but still around 18 quid!).

Cheers for all your replies and support!!
I'm gonna do the breather hose when I get it but he vans gping intot he garage for a full service in the next few days so I'll let them deal with the leaky clutch - don't wreckon I could do it or do it on the main road where it's parked.
Thanks, and I'll let you know which of you was right about the clutch leak.
Willard
