Westy because it fits in my garage and I like the exoticness of LHD.

Autohomes coz I got one and it's brilliant
The pop top has tons of room, I think it's one of the tallest out there when popped.

Westy - so long as you can live with LHD.
Is the autohomes pop-top the solid sided type (Kamper?) if so check the roof isn't wet under the aluminium skin.

I have the autohomes Kamper - perhaps not deemed as cool or as good quality as a westy but pretty good still - mine had bags of retro charm and, as mocki says, you get more for your money.
do check the roof thoroughly though - mine was leaking pretty badly when i bought it but thankfully it wasnt to far gone. i'm just about to finish the fixing process so fingers crossed! I've become a quasi kamper roof fixing expert by default ow so let me know if you need any tips or info

83 2ltr Air-Cooled Autohomes Kamper. Kamper roof died. Fitted an original Westy Pop-top.

Westy for build quality. LHD is a drawback, but only a limited one. There are always good deals out there if you buy carefully.

I would go for the autohomes , simply because you live in london.
How do you constantly overtake buses in a LHD and avoid a head on collision with the speed demon coming the other way??

The best one you find for your money.....it's so hard to find a good one at the right price I doubt you will have the luxury of choosing from two good examples at the money you want to pay westy is best tho.....lol

Re: T25 Westy (Club Joker) v Autohomes ......
Our Autohomes Karisma hi-top is fab and was great value.
It cost £2600 and was in pretty reasonable nick. My guess would be to add another couple of grand to get a Westy with similar bodywork.
Westy's are very nice with the smart interior but they don't have a grill (no toast!), are left hand drive and are more expensive.
I can see why people go for them though as they seem to be built to a high standard.
Just my thoughts which are probably worth nothing to anyone but me and even I think they aren't up to much.
Enjoy whatever you get.
