Post by wardandy »

Can anyone tell me the approximate cost of getting a towbar fitted to a T25 is? Is it a major addition?

Genuine VW 'Westy' ones are well easy, take bumper off, take 2 little bumper brackets off, fit towbar in place of bumper brackets (its just a big HD 1 peice bumper bracket really), fit bumper to towbar, just like normal - self explanitory when you see them.

Electrics will take a bit longer but its not hard with colour codes - just make sure its not done with scotchlocks (common bodge) or you'll be plagued with rear wireing faults in 6months time.

As above, new Witter ones are about £100 at discount places.

Bumper cut required with Westfalia swan-neck one (steel or plastic bumpers) not sure with Witter or others. Westy one is 100kg ball weight limit.
Keep it real.
