Thermal Screens - suckers
Hi All,
I'm knocking up a set of thermal screens and am trying to source some suckers.
I know that several people have already done this, where did you get your suckers from and at what cost?
I have found some over here but they are wanting 1.6 yoyos each + pnp.
Cheers
Titus

Thanks Tom.
I found them, I was looking for a cheaper option.

Re: Thermal Screens - suckers
Found a few places. Some of them actually look like they might work.
http://www.colbrook-plastics.co.uk/prod ... ion%20Cups" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.poscentre.co.uk/pos-products ... ctTypeID=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://homeshopping.24studio.co.uk/chri ... leBaseFeed" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
These Clear Plastic with Nut (45mm dia) http://www.poscentre.co.uk/pos-product- ... uctID=7564" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or these Clear Plastic Button (70mm dia) http://www.poscentre.co.uk/pos-product- ... uctID=7551" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Trick will be securing them to thermal screens

Thanks Lloyd.
I was searching with "Suckers" in google, led to some interesting alternatives (not wife compatible)!
I was thinking of securing them with a large plastic wash placed on each side of the screen so that they sandwich the screen.
That should spread the load.

Re: Thermal Screens - suckers
Google can be funny that way. I used "suction cup". Same search word at different times will sometimes give totally different results.
Ones with built in nut might be good.
Only problem may be getting them to release easily. We have JK's and they don't hold very well. Let me know what you end up with as I have considered changing ours to something better... maybe even make new screens that fit better.

Re: Thermal Screens - suckers
I bought the DIY pack and made my own screens slightly bigger than the windows and used velcro around the edges, but I still bought the JK suckers to hold the screens in the middle to stop em sagging.
I trawled the net for better suckers..But JK take a lotta beating even though they are expensive. I did the same in my eriba too.

Re: Thermal Screens - suckers
got mine from the pound local shop. first set were naf as they had a little metal hook to pull which always fell off.
next set were spot on as they have a plastic hook which threads through the rubber sucker, be carefull which type you buy.

Re: Thermal Screens - suckers
II bought mine from B&Q they were with the Cristmas decorations, I think I got 24 suckers for £1.
I simply cut the Thermo wrap to size, cut a small hole where I wanted the suckers and clamped them on using the plastic clips they came with
These are similar to what I used
