Remove drain bungs & reduce tailgate rust...

More of a tip this one
After lifting tailgate and having water run out I realised that the 2 bungs (1 each side at the bottom) were holding in the water :roll: :roll:
There a bit tight to pop out but released after a bit of teasing :wink:

Yes I agree that these bung things often cause more harm than good as condensation/water often comes from above and the little drainage deformations at the bottom of seals etc soon become blocked. In many cases you are beter off without them as most rust damage is caused by water or dampness inside a "closed" space.

cheers for that,think i will remove mine this morning as i've got some rust in bottom corner. :ok
