I have same trouble. You have a door check strap missing I reckon on each door.
I bought a pair on ebay - didn't flipping fit did they... (although labeled up as the part I needed)
Chap at work said for a temporary fix, use a tie wrap on the door and the door frame?
I haven't tried this yet - but I will...

Do what I do. Be firm. The ONLY person allowed to open or close doors is DAD - PERIOD. Had one of my kids try to stand up underneath an open front door and split his head open. They can also trap fingers. I go round like a hackney cab driver does for the elderly, sorting everyone out, making sure arms and fingers are out the way then shutting them myself. Make it a routine - they moan at first but soon get used to it. Same getting out. Dad rules on that one.
As driver, what driver says goes. He/she has ultimate responsibility for all passengers and I really don't mind the extra work. Peace of mind.

The doors open wide so that you can get up/down the step! I found it odd as to how wide they open at first. - Make them use the sliding door under supervision? Tie them on the roof?

Put them plastic strips on then Jo Puplic only gets the dent. It is those massive wagons these skinny litle birds take their one little brat to the supemarket in what do most damage in my opinion!

What he said. My kids are only allowed to exit out of the slider, and only the biggun can open it so the little one is kept nicely contained too!

Wellllll
The slider door handle is missing on the outside.
Besides, its also a pain having to keep an eye on the door if im getting in and out or working on it etc.

Re: Driver and passenger doors swinging wide open :(
I still think God instructions from driver is best route here. Van doors (almost any large van) can do damage when opened and it takes a minute at most to go round and open or close doors. My family think nothing of it now. Its a good routine to have, both in terms of damage to other vehicles, their fingers, and the possibility of a child of any age stepping into moving traffic. Likewise I do not allow any child to undo their seatbelt until I say its safe to do so. The precautions really do minimise risk to passengers and the issue of doorstraps vanishes with it - unless those few minutes spent checking doors are too precious or you have a disability that makes it difficult to do passenger checks.
