Part number request please

Post by Ian Hulley »

I've looked on Vagcat but can't find the part number for the nearside front bearing grease cap ... i.e. the one with the speedo cable square in it. Mine started slipping a bit ago but now I have a wedge of metal knocked in to make it work

Many thanks, Ian.

at a guess its 251 407 691 A, but listed for both sides, chances are they only sell the speedo one with the hole now or they only sell one without the hole and you modify with workshop equipment as they say. non suffix one upto 1984 superseeded by suffix A

Thanks for the replies .... I would have t'lad play with it but it's a tad delicate for his 'touch' . Besides he's busy practising folding and rolling 3mm stainless at the moment
