Post by KarlT »

Just seen weather forecast. There is mountains of snow coming.....Monday/Tuesday....From Russia with Love!

Some may even reach the South-West! Already okay'd it with the good lady to collect the kids alittle early from school on Tuesday & head up Dartmoor.

I'm gonna try not to be excited by snow, its been disapointing in the last couple of years, despite much pridictable hype. However, seen as I spent the morning sucsessfully refitting my driveshaft (no damage at all to threads in hub!) so have fully functioning 4WD, and the fact its been lightly snowing all afternoon, BRING ON THE WEATHER!! Wonder if I can repeat a free days laneing like I did a few years ago by recovering taxi's from a snowy ditch on the Ringinglow Road?

We have over 9 inches here. I got dicked about with my bay window & it didn't sell, so hence I have no Syncro.

How pissed off am I. I could have gone snowboarding today!

Had around six inches here, which is enough for my work to close down for the day. Shame !

Got up and got to work after seeing people deserting their cars and some sleeping in them.

i just got on the banks and drove through the half meter of snow regardless. My van rocks in the snow :D

Got to work and swept the half meter of snow off the roof that we have only felted and battened and the plastic sheeting up their was a death trap so back in the van and home again.

Actully it was a bit disapointing this morning but its really seting in now, probublem is that'll mean some roads will soon be littered with 2WD cars. I managed to overtake a massive row of them struggleing up the gradient past 'Fox House' - they were sliding and fighting for grip, I just accelerated past in a perfectly straight line. Might go back past there later this evening and see if anyone didn't make it.

Also managed to freeze the accelerator cable again which ment for a painfully slow decent into Bradwell before I managed to free it off again - really should put that new one on, the cable ties are almost too good a fix, but that wasn't why it went in the first place.
