Sorry but that made me
I have a "pooh" cheapo Sat Nav which is quite useful but drives me nuts at the same time. I aspire to a Sat Nav where I can program it to talk to me in a "white trash redneck" voice.
I quite like the way my daughter repeats it's instructions, at least it's funny for the first half hour of the trip..............
one thing i found with the tomtom is you know when you are near a bad bend and you can slow down rather than being taken by surprise...also you know when you are on a long straight for overtaking when its dark
the word 'pissing' is safe

its in her best interests to get you one, that way when you ignore it and get it wrong, you cant blame her.......
and she can watch the dvd with the rest of the gang...........hehehe

How do you do this 'overtaking' you talk of?
Also when would slow down for these bad bends? I have a 14" wheel all bends are bad but speed has never been the problem.
i also never said to over take in the fog...i leave that to the other fools and hope they arnt side by side with me when the juggernaught hits them head on...as mocki says ,it gives you an idea of your bearings and if theres a bend coming up its always shown on the map on the tomtom.this 'over taking' thing i speak of is not something ive experienced in my camper but ive seen it happen ....alot ...i also have mcdonalds set to the cow "moooo"
one more thing too....if you dont have a sat nav and are a bit unsure of driving to further destinations then get one, they take alot of frustration out of the journey but dont rely on them alone
