Louvred kitchen window.....Help!

Post by fullsunian »

Hi, got myself a louvred kitchen window from my early Devon camper. The original window is just standard glass, will the louvred window fit using the original glass rubber seal or will I have to find a new seal for the louvred window? The alloy where the seal mounts looks loads thinner than the original glass is. Its not a panel van conversion by the way if that makes any differance....
Thanks in advance,
IAN

Hi thanks for that. Have used Woolies before but for carpet lining, didn't think about them for glass seals. Very good company by the way and local to me lol. :)

Hi Ian
Keep us posted please, I have one sitting in my shed waiting for me to get brave enough to try.
I've been patiently waiting for someone else to give it a go first.

Well I pulled and pushed the original window out tonight to find that my nice shinny louvred window doesn't fit!! Oh well I will keep looking till I find one that does. At least taking the original window out gave me chance to measure it properly....43cm x 108cm.

I'm sure I will find something in the end, may have to have another trip down the 'farm'. Glad I took the window out though, at least I could measure it properly. Guess I will end up putting the louvred window I have on ebay. :)
