Knocking noise

Post by Wear Sunscreen »

Only had the van a few days and wondering what on earth I have done...ha ha

Anyway, knocking noise from somewhere only occurs when going slow ie. just moving off. Gets faster as either the engine revs up or as vehicle speeds up. Noise dissapears if engine revs die down also dissapears when driving above 15mph approx. There does not seem to be any steering or suspension problems.

PLEASE HELP

drive shaft wear?
does it get worse steering either left or right?

give the driveshafts a swift couple of slides in and out from the gearbox, each side and see if it goes away.
the grease gets claggy and hard. If this stops it, treat them to some new grease.
