is the inlet manifold different to the solex one or can i get an adapter plate?

Yes it is completely different and as far as I am aware you cannot get a conversion plate, best bet is to contact a breaker and get the manifold, carb and air tract from a DG code motor, try Billynumbers or CJ

ah im stuck then but i have the ablity to make an adapter plate that would be ok shouldnt cause
a problem should it?

surely by the time you faff about fabbing up something that may not work properly it would be cheaper to buy one from a breaker for a few quid???

I had to get a solex to webex manifold £40 it was, i know they were rare, if you need the breakers i got it from i can find out
