Apart from the highlighted seam problems, the van is immaculate.
Would these seams be difficult to fix, should I walk away from this van...any advice on repair would be helpful.

It's been recently painted ... look at the wheel arch too Those are the usual areas, if the price is right it'd warrant further inspection by someone who knows these old buses

The lower sill is the one that can be hiding the nasties. You really need to check behind the fridge. I know there is something on wiki about this have a look.
Check behind the fuel filler for crud. I dont think it looks that bad from the pics. It would be best to take someone who knows with you. Even if it's just to help knock the price down.
Don't be afraid to take hold of the seatbelt just above where it fastenes to the wheel arch and look at the owner and say "Is it alright if I do this ?" If they say 'Yes' then give it a small tug upwards .... If it's rotten it'll pull straight out, just like it would have in a good MOT or more importantly in an accident.

I've seen worse.
I would take it on, for a price that reflects it's condition
find out when it was resprayed.
To treat it properly for that rust you would need to get to the other side of the seam

Replacing panels is the only way to halt its spread
the panels not available in that pic are the ones above the wheelarch (I think) and the rear top
Mine had a touch of that but got in there and dealt with it. Small grit blaster helps plus a dose of Vactan. Common sight otherwise. Agree new panels surest way but not always affordable. Plus all that means a repaint but us roller boys don't have a problem if we need to repaint areas.

speaking from experience - there is some welding needed on that B-post and the arch/petrol cap bit needs replacing - fuel tank out job - rotten b-post probably means rotten sill where it meets the b-post inside the post/van...

It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!
Mine looked like that.
Sorted it twice now since i've had it.
First time it looked like that again in 3 years.
On the second occasion the best thing I ever did was rip out everything from the inside and after the work was done spray the inside of the panels with waxoil.
It still needs minor work after a further 3 years to keep it mint but this time it's nothing compared to before!
Thanks for all your advice on this we bought it, doesn't look too bad had mechanics bodywork guy check it over, seems its not too bad and will probably blast back and treat for now till we can afford the proper job done.
