Hi All,
Does anyone have any tips on undoing rusted manifold nuts? I have a new front pipe to fit, have removed the old one from the silencer without any problems, but cannot get the nuts undone on the manifold end.......in fact I can't even determine what size the nuts are as they are so rusted!!! Once I do get them off I presume I would need to get new ones? Are they a standard size, can I just get them from anywhere?
Any help gratefully received.
Matt

I used one of these;
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165469" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Worked very well.
Did your new pipe not come with new nuts?
Melvin

Hi Melvin,
Thanks for the link, will take a look now. No, it didn't come with new nuts. Do you know what size they should be?

Re: Undoing manifold nuts!!!!
Thanks Tony,
I presume you are able to supply these? Can I just ask though on the flange that attaches to the manifold there seems to be 4(?) nuts of the same size, probably m8 and then there are two nuts that attach to a "frame" that then attaches to the chassis(?), these seem to be larger. Any ideas?
