Hello All
I have just purchased a new T25 Westfalia that is in really good condition except that the door locks on both front doors and thee sliding door have been damaged by an attempted break-in. The damage was done while the previous owner was on holiday in europe. The van is able to be locked using the mortice locks that the previous owner fitted, but these are awkward and make jumping in and out of the van on errands around town with the kids in tow a bit of a challenge.
I would like to replace the broken door locks with new ones (all on the same key if possible). Is it possible to replace just the lock barrels as a set? Is there somewhere that sells replacement door locks?
Thanks

Re: Replacement Door Locks
I've found these on Ebay?

Do you reckon these will fit on my 1988 LHD T25 Westfalia? What are they like to fit?
Thanks

Re: Replacement Door Locks
Handles are easy top fit, theres a cross head screw behind door seal to remove cab handles, slider comes out with cross head directly behind handle behind door trim.
Easy to make all one key set if they are all the right profile, you need genuine handles not cheep copys for that.
ebay set looks alright though could do with tart up. Keys aren't genuine so not sure they're proper profine N or not. Should be able to get fuel cap on same key as van (though I gather some of the earlyer stuff had seperate key).

Re: Replacement Door Locks
Thanks for the advice on installation SyncroG. I think I can handle that.
And thanks for the link to that German Ebay site Manxman.
Are these door locks/ door handles specific to which side the vehicle drives on. Mine is a LHD Westy. The description on the German site specifies that those are RHD locks.
Thanks
Chris

Re: Replacement Door Locks
it's just the sliding door handle that is handed, otherwise they are the same, I had a set from Lars last year, and I wanted lhd no problem.
