Don't talk to me about gearboxes! Although I didn't find it at all difficult on the two ocasions I did it in 2008.
Not wishing to be insensitive or nosey but do you have some reason for not wishing to save some dosh by a couple of hours grubbing about on the floor? Apart of course from the fact that it is testicularly brassy outside!

Cheers guys, just a little too far to travel.

It would have been a straight swap, Aiden Talbot gearbox built and in my garage, full clutch kit from RJES all oil and gaskets. Ready to go.

i am happy to give you a hand also. did mine last year and it was easy going. what van are you driving marble? i am just down the road from you in wymondham. we should try to organise a south norfolk meet. mine is the noisy white danbury

Ok total rephrase of original question. Who is fairly local to me who could assist in changing my gearbox this weekend. I need to get this sorted before it causes any damage.

I will happily pay for your expenses and feed bacon sarnies.

ricles mines a two tone blue air cooled. noisey, slow and with a gearbox ive got to fix this weekend.
