I'm considering a two-tone camouflage job like Kev's.
You can't hide the ugly thing, but you can make it look a bit less obtrusive by leaving the top part in white or pale grey to be camouflaged against the sky, and emphasising the lower half by making it body-colour, or with stripes.

My camper is dark red, with a slightly creamy-white high top, so was thinking of raising the red to include the lower part of the roof (to below the roof windows), then pale grey above that, and matching grey to the lower body panels (the bit between the wheels that was plastic planks on the later models). That should reduce the impact, whilst introdung a bit of an 80's Audi Quattro theme (in my sad mind at least).

Get it colour matched. Makes it look like less of an add on IMHO.

I know it a bit like an add for a diet product where the sad looking fat girl get slim but also get new clothes, hair, make up and a smile, but you get the idea.
NO PIES CAKES OR BEER LEFT IN THIS VAN OVERNIGHT.
