what size clutch for a DG engine?

Hi,
I need to get a clutch for a 1988 t25 with engine number DG137289. There seems to be 2 different sizes available.

88 should be 228mm. Have a look at the release forks. They flatten and when you fit a new clutch, they click over on the release and hold the clutch disengaged.

thanks for that, is there any way to find out before dropping the engine? This is for a friend who is going to have to do the job on the drive so wants to crack it in one day.

Have a look on Brickyard, Simon normally has this kind of thing listed.

As Laurie say's though an '88 should be a 228mm.
