Hello all!!!

I have a 1981 2ltr Aircooled panel van and the wipers are poop, is there any modification i could do to make them perform better? hey just feel real flimsy and weak

I suspect the grease in the wiper motor gearbox and the linkage has now gone hard with age - a strip and repack with new grease me thinks :wink:
It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!

unless they are loose on their shafts...lift them up like when you wash the windscreen and see if they are loose if not then it might be stiff linkages (grease)or as dugcati says in the drive
the word 'pissing' is safe

excuse the 'hijack' - but I have similar symptoms so could you explain 'how to' please? Access etc?

spray some wd40 on them where the shafts go thru the bodywork :wink:
then turn them on and spray water on the windscreen,, they'll get quicker and quicker the longer they're on :ok
