looking at £4,000. is that realistic, it sounds that either he knows nothing about the van or he`s hiding something, difficult to tell really.

Anyone had one like that stolen? Lost V5? I would apply for a new one before trying to sell it. Stolen in Spain??

Or legit, with a disinterested owner.?

Had a South African caravelle and it rusted like a bay.

Needs to be checked over carefully.

The best way of getting around a syncro problem is to say that you dont know how it works and so is un tested.

Another caravelle next door, so an enthusiast.

Asked about V5,VC,gearbox & diff-locks.................

" v5 is like i said lost chek my feed back im not a bull "pooh" i will gladly sign it in any ones name before payment if they dont belive me,

dif locks i guess 2 as its 4wd permanate,"

",it has 2 diff lock like i said, it drives perfect like i said, it dosent leak like i said

i drive it now and again but i dont get much time,

i know its worth well over 4k chap i flew to germany to get my last one thanks, so its up to you now"

Okay then, I'll be bidding £4K then.

If he's giving the same sort of answers to everyone, he'll be lucky to get near £2.8K. IMO. We'll see.

I could find out more, but I cant, if you see what I mean. HPi check at the very least.

It's not insured in it's own right.

I know the seller, Colin. He is a spray painter & runs his own paint shop. He has build quite a few cars & had a few mag features.

I haven't seen the van, but

He bought the car from his neighbour & has done some paint work to it. He is a busy man & this car is just to sell, hence he hasn't driven it much. He won't know the ins & outs of a Syncro, but it does appear to be a good van.

It would be worth a look if anyone was serious. I don't think there is anything dodgy about it. He has moved recently so may well have lost the log book. He normally owns a few cars at a time. I expect he hasn't touched the diff locks in case something bad happens. In reality they will either work or not.

He can be abrupt & blunt with his answers, he lives a fast pace life & gets a fair bit done in a day. He doesn't suffer fools.

The van has some nice bits with the big bumpers & rear light blenders and the square lights. It would cost a fair bit to get it up to this spec.
