We have our first problem with the T3, and not having any manuals for it yet i thought i would ask here
It has a leak in the brakes from the part highlighted below, I'm not sure what it is or what it does... It doesn't have any description against it on the parts system.
Looking at the pic it seems to be some sort of over flow? Any info about it would be appreciated, as it seems to be leaking from the seal at the top (the bit i have tried to arrow)
Funny that! I can't find it in my Bentley manual. Although it looks to me like it could be a load compensator valve/mechanism. If the three aparent in/outlets form part of the piping system and the mechanical coupling is attached in some way to the rear suspension then this would confirm my suspicion. Obviously any leak of fluid is problematic but someone will soon pop up who knows. Is that drawing from Haynes?

Thats your clutch master cylinder. Bit of a pain in the backside to change as its up above the clutch pedal but so long as you have contortionist abilities you shouldn't have a problem!
Here's how it goes...
Undo black top-up cap on fluid resorvior, place some cling film over the top and do the cap back up. There is a reason for this... Tell ya later!
Undo the two securing bolts that hold the master cylinder in place.
Undo the pipe that leads to the slave cylinder.
Remove the flexible pipe from the master cylinder that runs from the resorvior and block the end with something ie. pencil. (Ps. the cling film should prevent most of the fluid escaping by creating a vaccuum!).
Remove master cylinder.
Put in new cylinder ensuring small pushrod from pedal is located in top of cylinder casing. Replace the two bolts securing cylinder in place.
Pull your pencil out and reconnect the flexible fluid supply pipe to the master cylinder.
Now... If all goes well you can pump the pedal a little until fluid squirts from the threaded hole to the slave cylinder. When this happens, reconnect the pipeline to the slave cylinder and with any luck you won't even have to bleed the system as you have removed the air already.
This was how I replaced mine and I didn't have to bleed the clutch circuit after reassembly.

Thank you for all your help everyone will get right on it, where is the best place to get a replacement, preferably the cheapest as im totally skint also would be it safe to drive until the new part arrives?? i have to get to college!
Its safe enough but one little problem may be trying to predict when its going to totally pack up!
If its only leaking a little then it will last for quite a while before you really start to have problems.
Keep a bottle of brake fluid with you and keep the resorvior topped up to max. Check before and after each run to make sure it's not running too low.

Thank you!! Is it worth wrapping anything round it whilst we are waiting for the part to arrive? and also is there anything specific I need to look for that will tel me its going to fail?
I would just put something absorbant on the floor underneath. Not big enough to get in the way of the pedals though!
Signs of failure... More fluid leaking out and possibly gears starting to crunch because the clutch won't fully disengage.
