We only advertise the events when they have been agreed and planned...
We haven't agreed and planned a Spring event yet...

Now, not getting at anyone specific, as this is just human dynamics at work, but what we find is that when we plan an event we get quite a bit of feedback about where to go and not to go and what people like and what they don't... - and almost always the ones that wanted a change and got it don't turn up and its always the ones that were less fussy always do regardless :)
Plus, we have never seen an early announcement improve our attendance - in fact the evidence is to contrary - work that one out - probably something to do with not wanting to commit till the latest moment.. abit like Christmas spending, no-one's going to buy anyone anything when economy is bad and threat of poor times, then in the last few days before Christams just as many out there spending their dosh - which they did have all along!

But have taken note and the front-page does need a bit of a freshen up, and we should allude to an April meet... but a month ahead is about the optimum time to get the excitement and bookings effect going IMO

Start voting... '.. where do you want to go to today' (well, today == April)

Well, as of last night, we have just about got the forum and the garage 'singing along' quite nicely with most of the obvious bugs and 'features' beaten into submission...

So now time to get back to the Syncronauts issues and hopefully Jake will be back soon to help :P

Simon's right though, the Syncronauts website has remained dormant for a wee while too long, so I'd better 'ask' Jenny to see what can be done... it happens to a lot of websites, they tend to need constant attention. Theres in fact quite a few bits and bobs that need sorting..

Thing is, the Tech side of it is part Wiki, part forum Tech, part forum Syncro so we need to do some thinking/rationalising... at the same time have been thinking :idea 's on the whole Tech Help & Advice and Wiki integration - Oo! Er! wicked stuff

I knew I would upset someone...... and it wasnt my intention....

I wasnt getting at the "whats the next event why isnt it booked yet etc etc etc"

It was more from a change it to "next event coming soon" .... so there has been an update....

I fully appreciate the when and where thing... and anyone thats mithered to get a date change and doesnt turn up (without a reasonable reason) should be ignored at the next request........ certainly we would have been at a couple of events if it had been on suggested dates and subsequently couldnt make it when the date was changed...

Now we are here in the UK, it should be poss for us to make more a lot easier... but we still are going to at least one event in France each year (this year its around April 22nd for 3 days IIRC.... might be able to sort a few "invites" on it if anyone is really interested???)

My local off road club has some TYRO's trials organised and they have said syncro's are welcome, I am going to see if I can nab a trophy off the landies....   , along with a few other pay and play/drive around events) usually only "day" events (camping may be possible at them) but the 2 we have been on have been great fun..
