Hi,
wonder if you can help here? just bought a second set of inner driving lamps with grill for 1983 joker, I kn ow there are threads on here about wiring headliughts and have been looking at the myriad of ideas. Does anyone know what the original wring on SA t25's with this set up would have been and where / type of switching. Was thinking of getting a 'vehicle wiring products' pre-wired auxiliary lamps loom with relay to fit as get easily confused with DIT electrics- ....unless you have simple suggestion that is safe like wiring directly into main beam wires?? thanks for any advice.

Re: Wiring second round headlamps
I wired mine (with relays) so that they only come on when Main Beam is selected.
I simply took the correct wire from the bulb connector and ran it to a pair of relays, 1 relay for dipped and 1 for Main.
All four of my lights go through relays.

Re: Wiring second round headlamps
Think the SA lamps are wired the same as square lamps; outers are H4 dip/main, inners are H3 main. Wireing is simple as the inners are just wired in parallel to the outer mains. Think its the 8mm latching female spades from vehicle wireing products that fit in the original plugs for the round lamps, remove the old main/earth wires from the H4 plug, recrimp new one on with extra wires comming out to conect to the inners. Wouldn't bother messing with extra switches, if you want main you'll always want the lot, if your not on main you won't want them on so just wire to main. Legally thats fine, infact its a legal requirement than "driving lights" are switched off from the dipswitch.
If you haven't fitted relays to your lights its probubly not a bad time but square lamp vans used the same guage wire with the 4 main beams so it shouldn't melt anything, so long as you use 60/55W bulbs!
