T25 Multivan 2.1 injection ss engine fault

Post by robinpxyz »

Hi Folks

My 2.1 ss prefix injection engine stutters and will not pull when it is cold. When it is hot it runs fine, or did. The local VW garage had it for a fortnight and did a full service, set everything back to the factory spec and fitted new coolant temperature sensor/sender. They also checked some electronic stuff that I don't understand. They have been very helpfull but it's still got the fault.
They sent it to the local Bosch specialists who have now had it for a fortnight. They have tested everything in the ECU and other electronic stuff but still cannot correct the fault. Has anyone else had the same problem? Does anyone know of a company that specialises in the VW T25 2.1 injection engines?

Many thanks

Having the same problem matey. Seems to be worse when damp. Changed plug leads and dizzy cap today, gonna see how things are from now. My Bosch specialist said that the idle control valve could do with changing and possibly something wrong with the airflow meter. I've disconnected the idle speed stabiliser aswell but that made no difference.
