split charging

Hi have looked on the wiki about split charging- are they specifying a normaly open or closed relay? to work with the charging light wire?

the relay should be open cct so preventing the discharge of the main van battery until is the engine is running and so the alternator charging, standard 30A 4pin auto relays will be of this configuration so if you are using a 5 pin relay make sure you connect your leisure bat or fridge to correct pin ie 87
