Gearbox rebuilds

Post by Hairbear »

Reccomendations appreciated on T25 gearbox specialists.

Got the rare long geared 'box but don't know what it's like so want to get it checked out before it goes in my van.

Cheers

Gareth

Various shops will rebuild these boxes, but why do you suspect it..?
do you want to pay for a strip and rebuild when it might give good service?

Most people would drain it well, refill with new oil, waggle the input shaft and drive flanges, look at the conndtition of the spigot shaft surface and drop it in if all seemed reasonable.

Otherwise: Nr Henley on Thames (M25 then M40 to Wycombe will get you close coming from Essex)
