Cate, they do as well as the seals, honest I have had 2 sets off them, exactly the same as 2WD. all the back end is the same, apart from shockers and springs.

Erm oops, sorry, didn't mean to sound as if I was disbelieving Aidan! I know who I'd rather believe! Just that gsf were so insistent they weren't the same, daft lot! Anyway they are now ordered and hopefully comeing over tomorrow. Cross fingers.

Thing is Cate, rear wheel bearings usually go together with a complete rear brake refurb back-plates off etc.etc - one thing that delayed me a bit for CF last...

Are the grumbling/moaning/droning or is this just precautionary?

The Beeb Blue Arrow Doka passed its MOT today - just a number-plate light bulb ... chuffed! :D

Well done on the MOT Clive, you must be well pleased.

The bearing were badly shot, the guy couldn't even tighten them up for the MOT. Wheels wobbly and too dodgy he said.
I hope the other bits don't need doing having got this far!

I was pleased 'cos that would have been a bit of a pain - was thinking maybe front hoses and hydr. pipes (maybe a winter job).

the reason I say rear brake overhaul is because the whole hub and backplate has to come off really to do the bearings, and that's an opportunity - but if they're that bad, then that's bad ! Nope, not adjustable - hope the hubs and stub-shafts haven't suffered too much.

Has KevH set a date for this Yorkshire laning yet?

Isn't the Dales do on the 22/23? thats what I read on there anyway.

I wasn't really aware of the bearings being that bad but ..... the hubs etc better not be knackered, if they are then I'm just giving up.

No probs, will post details here too then,

be good to have you there. Should be a nice combination of some gentle scenic lanes and one or two rather testing ones :D ,
