VW Westphalia T25 LHD 1990 excellent condition, top of the range version with permanent 4WD for those who want to get off the beaten track, it sleeps 4 people, has a fridge and cooker, mains hookup, gas and water tanks as fitted by the Westphalia factory, it has had a recent new clutch and water pump fitted, good tyres all round (2 of them new) all servicing done. Drives well. taxed to Oct 06 new MOT to June 2007. This is well worth your time to come and look.Please note that I will not accept a 'bankers draft' made out to a third party or any other type of payment except sterling or euros.

Just a quick note to anyone thinking of viewing this van, I've been today and it's not a nice one.
I've bid him £4000 at it, he declined.
MV 2.1l Westy Club Joker Syncro. NO diff locks.
Dog eared interior.
Roof canvas ripped.
Holes cut just in front of the engine lid where drugs were stored (Hence it being on a Q plate as it was confiscated by customs!)
Seam rash to left hand front arch.
Badly repaired arch to right hand rear.
Van is grotty, if it was tidy enough it would be worth somewhere near the asking price, as is it's a project.
I didn't test drive it as I had made my mind up it wasn't for me, but there are 2 recent tyres on there so chances are the VC has been suffering if not shot.
One thing that did confuse me though...
I was under the impression that Jokers, and Club jokers finished in 1987 to be replaced by Californias and Atlantics, this van is supposedly a 1990, and a quick check of the chassis number confirmed this, but by 1990 Westfalia weren't producing that conversion, or so I though.
Anyone shed any light on that? Or is it a Syncro thing? IS there such a thing as a California/Atlantic syncro?
Don't let the stickers on the sides of the van confuse you either, these aren't original and the side loader was once red as the paint is coming off.
But, a phone call to the DVLA said if you could prove it's age, and you could as you could send off for a heritage letter from VW then you should be able to get it off the Q plate and get an age related plate issued.

all interiors 87-91 might have been grey but they were not all Atlantics or Californias ,there areplenty of Joker and Club joker models around with grey interiors, some with all paperwork from new ,including original dealer invoice to prove their factory origins

Westfalia Joker and club jokers were produced till 1990 and from late 86 they had the grey interior. The California and the Atlantic was sold thru the VAG dealer and the westfalia via other sources. I think the California and the Atlantic was only sold in germany and maybe Austria. Other countries still recieved the ( Club ) Joker!
And yes syncro westfalia is more expensive, but you get a decent and rare camper 4wd camper!!
There is also a Atlantic syncro but very, very few produced and they fetch quite high prices in germany . Havent seen these for a while for sale.

Well Billy, maybe he just thinks he's going to get lucky; but I bet he didnt bank on Mr Baxter turning up and picking it to pieces. How unlucky is that
and a westy at that! possibly stashing things over the petrol tank? theres a million better places to hide things in one of these without resorting to cutting holes.
I forgot to say, the van in Slough had the Eberspaecher removed also.
He said he wouldn't chip on the price and he would go and find an Australian to sell it to, and if that didn't work he would take it to spain with him as he was going to live here.

panel vans are much cooler(temp wise) when it is really hot and sunny(ok, not a problem in the north east)
