My first camper

Post by pactdonkey »

Brought this van couple months ago,it was a workmans van and was proper battered, added bits and bobs and built the interior for travelling around europe in the summer! The project was really budget so nothing too flashy! gona finish it off today adding doors on the cuboard unit and skirting boards to tidy up the wallpaper!

First few pics are before..hopefully u realise that!!

Looks like you're doing a fine job.

Good Effort!

Glad they look so real! there painted on with gloss paint, its waterproof and only comes off if u scrub a kurb in which case just repaint! but i havnt had to repaint mine..if u look at your tyres there should be a line about 1" away from the rim, if u use that as a guideline to paint then it will be a perfect circle..Thanks for the comments

Thanks! the paint doesnt degrade the rubber, i have had it on for about 2 months now and it hasnt changed at all. It is just Gloss paint, my colour is high brilliant white. when the paint is first on it is very bright and almost too bright but when driving around the brake dust and jst general dirt tones it down abit and gives it an old look which imo looks good!
The wallpaper was chosen because i didnt want anything plain and i wanted a vintage/retro look and again IMO think it looks cool! but like TheTick said each to their own! happy days
If you decide to paint your tyres post ya pics up in here i would love to see some other vans with white walls!

The number plate is from Thailand, It was the provisional plate on my mums car from when we used to live there. Thought it would look cool and be a bit different!
