need distributer for 2.1 dj watercooled

hi i need a distributer for a 2.1 watercooled electronic ignition apparently vw do not make these anymore does sombody know of a nother distributer which will do the job jk do a 009 kit but they say it only does for the Aircooled help please as i going away tue on holls hopefully

My local VW dealer had it listed as available about a month or so ago. it was £300 ish though :shock:

thanks harryman and beaker harryman the engine keeps cutting out and mechanic has narrowed it down to distributer problem it cuts power off for split second sometimes cutting engine out altogether

Doubt if theres a queue for them :wink:

Maybe the mechanic is implying the Hall Sender unit in the dizzy seems to be the culprit - but this intermittent vutting out is a bit of trademark of these engines as they get older - there's a thread up at the moment on Tech a bit similar...

Shall I keep looking or you going to bid on an eBay one..?
