oil filter change procedures

Post by chukaspaz »

hey,

I have just received my new oil filter from JK which is amazing cause I only ordered it two days ago..legends...anyway I am wondering the correct procedures for changing my oil and filter? do i drain the oil first or change the filter first? also its a 1.9 1984 petrol watercooled...is 20w50 multigrade oil ok? my van has done 92250 miles and i plan on taking it around europe this summer...will this oil be ok? also, once iv changed it all can I start it immediately? and when I do can I drive away or leave it idle for a while? i hope this all works as im sure anyone whos read my posts do too...

cheers again!

James.
