when the engine is warm my glowplug light does not go out after the 15 or so seconds. Engine starts OK, and once started the light goes out. Have i got a dodgy relay or any other explanation?
Anyone?
Thanks
Simon

How about after 30 secs, mine takes almost that I think... main thing is, it starts and the glow light goes out when it starts.. I don't wait for much more than 10 or 15 secs in the summer before starting.

Thanks
I'll try a new relay, van starts OK just annoys me that the light used to go out at different times depending on outside temp but now it stays on when i turn the ignition on and doesn't appear to go out.

glowplug light
sounds like a poor temp sensor conection/wiring or the temp sensor itself if the relay was faulty the lamp would'nt come on at all or would be on permently. i think the wire to look at is blue with a black trace and the sensor is on the housing on the cylinder head try grounding it to earth while someone else switches the ignition on the glow plug light should not come on or only come on momentaraly as the relay has a low resistance signal that of a of a hot engine
