TEMP GAUGE RED LIGHT

Red Light Temp Gauge
Hi all the red light on the temp gauge comes on and off at will.have changed all the sensors but one (am waiting for the last sensor to be deliverd to try) the engine is not cooking itsself,the rad and water pump are fine the water is cuclating ok, its not using water or oil.

Turn the key to on (not starting the engine) light goes on for about 5-10 second then light goes off // a minute or 2 later back it comes light flashing?


wiring seams ok?

its been doing it on and off for a while.


Is there a a relay which could be playing up ??

On my L.T. when the water level is low it trips the light on and starts it flashing, I don't know if the T25 uses the same system but it might be an idea to check the expansion tank and wiring.
It's nothing a great deal of time and money can't fix

The red LED comes on if the water level in the expansion tank is low ( Not the topup tank behind the Number plate)

The LED is supposed to 'self test' for a few seconds after switch on.

The connector to the printed circuit board behind the spedo is often the culprit for odd flashing. Water gets in, and corrosion fouls up the electrics.

Try this. I have not had the flashing since I did all the things I described in the thread.

Where did you buy sensors? I want to try replacing expansion tank sensor first but cannot find supplier.
