Wiki on gearchange selctors

Er, VW only, they're not a lot of dosh, the recommended VW polylube is a fortune, many use Medium/Light Moly grease, I've used a waterproof grease (Mobil Blue in tubes) instead...

Inspect the bellows first, see which ones you need...
first check the spider and see if you can detect wear in it.. some say they do get sloppy, I've always found them 'reasonable' - its a good design, bt if nothing else, pop the pins out clean old sticky grease and re-lube it.

I intend eventually putting up a full length photo(s) of the whole selection mechanism - but it won't be tonight!

Elan valley, we happened past that looking for the Syncropendence site last year... quite a beauty spot and a nice road up there. :)

Presumably the Lotus Elan would be at home on such a pretty and twisty stretch...

Only on E-Bay,maybe or Machinery Mart ,Toomanytoys. A combination is a good idea if space is in short supply.
It was lovely up at Elan Valley Sun, talking to another camper with a T4 Riemo .Glad I have the T25.

By your reply I see you think I'm a sandwich short but my response was prompted by what I read on the WIKI having gone to Simon Whitmores page where he excluded TD's from the kit. Now being cautious and interested in this mod i did not want to get the typical bad luck i have and strip the linkage down to find It didnt work. So from Simons pics mine does not look the same as his pic shows a gear stick mounted on a housing hump whereas my shift is set into the flat slope.

I also thought there was a diference between the TD and the rest of the world as far as fitting short shifters, is this not so?

Was seriously asking if you or anyone could say which of the TD features, floor plate, gearlever or ? is the bit that prevents it being fitted.
