eek, prices edging up and edging up. Will have to rain check on this one by looks of things

Not too happy with this split level pricing situation either, I don't see why 2wd drive owners and their attendent families / friends should benefit from my / others considerable outlay owning / running a syncro AND be financially rewarded too.

Genuine prospective syncro buyers ok, but I drive a syncro, not a tour bus for other peoples benefit.

It's a poor do when I'd be better off not bringing my SYNCRO to a SYNCRO event

its £40 to see the red hot chilli peppers in Derby, so on that scale it doesnt seem to bad.
the awdc pay £20 a day to drive.
owning a T25 aint cheap, and if you want an even more speicalist T25 it can hurt more
surely givin a lift is in the olde spirit of 8090, tho maybe thats gone nowadays

out of interest wasnt last years £20 per person, I'm sure me and Jen paid that ??

Matt has already made some good points, and of course having attended the previous two Syncropendence events, knows how we priced them, what he got for his money and also the ethos behind them and the club...

Anyone fancy doing a report on this event? i would offer but am overwise engaged that weekend.

A short time ago there was a alot said about a feature in VW camper and bus, in this thread and Ivan said that anyone was welcome to sumbit write ups or pics, so how about it?

Someone in a 2wd may be along shortly to argue against subsidising Syncro events

The advertised pricing schedule was approved by vote on a 3/1 margin; the alternative was to charge everyone the same price at £35, so at best you would have saved yourself a fiver.

And it is a fact that we are unlikely to cover the costs of the site at these prices, so in all honesty the club is rewarding you; by taking a risk, and putting back some of the funds it has accumulated into putting on a great event in a lovely spot, at the best price it can.

can't wait for the next show . .ooo Deva I think it is. Gonna rock up in my tin top and demand I pay less significantly less than anyone with a proper camper because I'm not getting value for money with my crappy interior.

Then I'm going to expect anyone with a westy to make my meals and give me a bed for the night. Well, it's only fair, why should they pay out for a nice van and me not get some benefit from it?

Tell you what, I'll shut up if I can pay less at SyncroP, because after all, I run AT's and that'll make half the site unusable if it rains so that's not fair on me is it?

Sound ridiculous doesn't it? Hmmmmm

the big difference here is that a syncro uses the site a 2wd doesnt.Using othere peoples land for events like this often costs more than the above mentioned price weve just been lukey in the past to have it cheap.

You collecting the Sprag's for us then Andy, keep those visitors locked up?

The participating 4WD vehicle price is the same as SP1 and SP2;
The non-participating vehicle entry price is the same as SP1 and cheaper than SP2.

No price hike - everyone's hopefully delirious - let's move on and look forward to good weather and a great event. The river should be running, the bogs should be boggy and the rocks should still be rocks, whatever the weather from now till then ~

Lots of events offer concessions which is in essence what this is; a concession to the 'technically disabled' 2wd van that stays on the campsite.

Hope we will see a fair few take advantage of it.
