New kit on my Doka!!

Post by steffanstringer »

Having got a brand spanking new VC in my bus (thanks SyncroNutz and Dave at Shiplake motors) I had a great weekend splashing around in the rain on some farm tracks near me.

Got my iPod plugged into the head-unit...

...so I was a happy bunny

Maybe not really the highest of priorities to get music on the bus, but at least VC, clutch, CVs and both diffs are good now - thinking about a gearbox overhaul and new exhaust for Christmas.

I was booked up for Bashbourne - would have been my first real off-roading. Anybody know of some experienced old hands willing to look out for a tender off-road virgin in the Berks/Bucks area during some green laning?

Steff

P.S music playing on the iPod is Scott Mathew's album Passing Stranger
P.P.S he rocks! :ok
P.P.P.S some of the stuff reminiscent of Jeff Buckley if anyone knows him

I disagree - getting the tunes sorted should be number 1 priority - good on ya, nice system!
You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape; If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

What have you used to hook up the 'pod? Obviously you get track info displayed on the head unit. Does it give you control of the ipod too?

Yep - you can control the iPod from the head unit but I have to say that the interface is by no means as slick as that of the iPod. I bought the one that was pretty much the cheapest Unit that had an iPod interface down at Halfords. With the noise my bus makes I am not going to expect a 'hifi' performance. Just wanted the convenience of access to all my music.

Cheers
