Does anyone have one of these please? We have been given one, but no instructions! Has anyone got a copy of the instructions they'd be prepared to scan and post please?

How many bits is your bike rack in? But looking at the fiamma web site should tell you enough. The upper brackets hook over the tail gate and so suspend the main frame. Place some padding under these as they cut into the paint . The opposite end of the two vertical struts clamps to the base of the tail gate and has the effect of sqeezing the rack into the bodywork using the black rubber bushes as padding and tension. Agian put some padding or webbing between the racket and metal. Onto the two uprights you bolt in the bike rails one bolt and nut each side. You could only fix this one way. Try it its not that dangerous and if you get it wrong you will soon know.

Many thanks to all who have replied so helpfully. We'll have a try one evening this week and we'll take on board the suggestion about the padding.

Bike racks and things

Post by Bluebell »

Hey thanks for all the advice folks. No problems at all with the bike rack and we managed to get quite a bit of cycling in too!

Thanks for whoever recommended West Runton too (another thread) - it's a lovely spot and we had a fab time. Frostbus - did we talk to you about the JK tent? Quite a few T25 people came and talked to us during the week we were there- it's definitely a social cachet! I'mlooking forward to meeting some of you at Malvern in July.

The tent behaved reasonably well - no problems in the heavy winds when pitched with the tie down kit, but we did find one of the poles had lost its elastic when we took the tent down. However, Pete at JK has sent us a replacement very promptly.
