Post by slamdunk »

Hi Peeps,

Here I am in the States looking at the stupidly low prices of second hand rust-free T25 and thinking, should I take advantage of this (not too much thinking giong on  )...... Only I would want to convert it to a hi-top on my return, is anyone able to give me a lsit of companies that can fit hi-tops to T25s?????

Ta,

what is stupily low? once you've added import duty shipping VAT etc, possibly need to have it checked as vanagons werent sold here (cant remeber what its called) you'd need to be buy it for £20 to make it worthwhile!

There are some nice late 80s vans with mint bodywork from down south (Texas, Calfornia, etc) going for about $2000 or £1000. Add to that the shipping cost of $995 (~£500) and it is better than anything on offer in the UK for a similar price. It seems that once rust gets into the body seams, it is a losing battle. We spent a lot of cash chasing the iron mites around our van, in theory a sun blessed van shouldn't have this problem.
